Is a Good Photographer Worth It for a Wedding?

Yes, if photographs are how you will remember the day. The venue resets. The flowers are gone. The gallery is what you keep.

“Good” does not have to mean the highest quote in Los Angeles. It means consistent work across a whole wedding, a calm presence, and a contract that protects both of you.

What good actually looks like

Look at full weddings. Highlights are easy. Church basements, noon sun, and a dark barn reception are not.

A good photographer guides stiff couples without turning the day into a fashion set. They know when to talk and when to disappear.

When it is not worth stretching the budget

If you truly do not care about photos, do not hire anyone expensive to please relatives. If you do care, cutting photography to fund an extra hour of open bar is a trade you cannot undo.

Worth comparing: reasonable amount to pay and red flags.
