Proposal Location - Pasadena Museum of History, Pasadena CA

Proposals of marriage can be difficult to plan. Where do you go? Some choose a first date location, others a place that is as private as possible and others might be their favorite path they take when they go for a walk. It really is up to you as the person who is proposing. To keep it a surprise, it really becomes a one sided decision and for many it really can be stressful.

After working with David over messages about engagement location for a couple of days he finally decided on a location for the proposal I had offered, The Pasadena Museum of History Although it has been a couple of years, due to Covid, that I had shot here it was always in the back of my mind to find a couple to do proposal here. I had done engagement sessions and weddings, but this was my first time taking a couple here to pop the question.

These two had met in medical school and I can say for sure, no mater what they do, their wedding day will be magical.

I think at first David was wondering where I was hiding for him to take the knee. I had also brought Cindy to try and get a hidden shot of her reaction better as well. There was no way for me to move to the side to get that otherwise.

She said Yes! So we were off to capture these special moments for them. Your appointment at this historical house allows you to be there nearly completely alone and once you go inside, you will step back in time and truly have a private moment. Tim, knows so much about this property and it is always a treat to have him show us around.

On the side of the house there is a fountain where I let Sarah and David relax and take the moment in.

Once inside the house we were able to take several shots in the rooms including this one that was a first for me. I had never been allowed to go upstairs before. The solarium and the study room were closed this day for a huge repair job that was needed.

This single shot really shows you what is possible here. I have had other favorite spots but this one for me really brought these two together in a unique window into the past.

In a hallway upstairs I got them to sit and again just take the moment in.

You know there is not a whole lot of kissing that takes place over a typewriter anymore, so this was a moment that will not often take place.
