Old Town Charm Beneath the Foothills

Monrovia's Old Town centers on Myrtle Avenue, a historic downtown with the San Gabriel Mountains rising behind it. The town was founded in 1886 and incorporated in 1887, and it has kept much of its early character. We enjoy photographing couples here for relaxed engagement sessions with a small-town feel.

Library Park, a Bandshell, and a Wishing Well

Library Park is a 13-acre park beside Old Town with a bandshell from 1928, a wishing well built of granite from Canyon Park, and a bronze statue of Mark Twain. Couples who want a ceremony there can ask the City of Monrovia about reserving the bandshell. We can help you plan portraits around the lawns and old trees.

Canyon Trails and a Garden Courtyard

Monrovia Canyon Park and the Hillside Wilderness Preserve give couples a trail-and-mountain setting close to town, and we confirm the city's current permit rules before planning a session there. For a simpler celebration, the Courtyard at the Monrovia Historical Museum is a city-managed garden venue. Either way, we keep the day calm and straightforward.
