Since 1912, The La Canada Thursday Club has been a local social gathering hub. It has hosted debutant events, tea luncheons and the most amazing weddings. This Spanish style building brings style and a certain flair you just won't find in other local event venues.
LAdigitalPhoto has been a preferred vendor for this location for wedding photography and Photo Booth since 2016. Tom Keene has worked closely with Chris and his wife Betty, who run the property rentals and events, to build an amazing experience. Beginning January 2024, Ani will be taking over the club's management and we have had the pleasure of working with her already at several open houses.
We were Chris and Betty's first choice to cover their 10 year anniversary and Cindy and Tom were married there as well.
Updated: As of May 2023, The Thursday Club will begin being operated by the club itself as Betty and Chris are retiring as the location's event caretakers. With this, their open houses are taking place every 3 months. These should be on a rotation of August, November, February and May.
With so many options, it can easily be molded to your vision. Ceremonies can be held inside and as many as 3 places within in their courtyard including under an amazing tree, at the steps of the entry gate as well as in front of a beautiful Spanish style fountain.
La Canada Thursday Club’s interior is spacious with capacity of up to 125 of your friends and family. An upper stage area can support your DJ/MC or live band giving your more space. The atrium is a great place for your buffet service, coffee and tea as well as desserts and don't forget a place for your photo booth. The parking is large and right next to the club solving the issue for so many venues that leave your guest to fend for parking spots. The outside front lawn and fountain area are also great locations for family photos and romantics. Behind the state area is a smaller bridal room which can allow you a place to keep your things as well as get ready. Many also get ready at local Pasadena area hotels; see a list below.
The Thursday Club is truly a hidden gem in the La Cañada Flintridge and surrounding cities of La Crescenta, Pasadena, Glendale and Eagle Rock. The most common places for couples to get ready are the following hotels: Westin Pasadena and Sheraton Pasadena. There is also a trend for people to use AirBnB as a cost affective alternative to the hotels.
