Flush mount albums have thicker rigid pages
while layflat albums have a more pliable page that are thinner.

8X8 38 PAGE FLUSH MOUNT CRYSTAL COVER
Leather bound flush mount albums open the door into the more unique options including metal oxide print pages, very shiny prints, unique covers and page guilding in black or gold. Lay flat albums have more flexible pages, but still rigid, and leatherette gives you many other color options.
