There are few venues that I have shot at over the years that I just love to keep going to over and over. Each time is unique and wonderful.
I was surprised upon hearing that the Wedgewood in Fallbrook, CA had changed out their event staff. They had been a staple for years there. The new director, Audrey Jarvis, was pleasant, helpful and overall caring for the couple and their event. Ask for her, you will be glad you did.
The grounds are always kept nice as is the venue itself. Keep in mind that this is a country club and the members will come first, so be patient when you are trying to get that favorite photo you wanted on the green. Players have the right of way and over the years, I can tell you they will insist on it.
The bridal suite can be cramped depending on your bridal party size, but if you keep it for just the bride and close attendants it's perfect. The men's suite is very very small and frankly doesn't need to be bigger, but I would not expect the groomsmen to all be getting ready there.
The Wedgewood in Fallbrook has a great relationship with the Pala Resort about 15 minutes away. I do highly recommend that you stay there. Get two rooms. One for you that night and perhaps one other for parents or others in your wedding party. Insist that the hotel completely reset one room for you early so your pictures are less cluttered. Make sure it is an east facing room. Your window view is much better.
The food is very nice and the staff is very welcoming and helpful at the Wedgewood in Fallbrook. I am not sure if the DJ is a required part of the venue or not but either way DJ George will keep your guests on the dance floor.
Overall I would highly recommend this as a wedding location to any of my clients who are seeking a very quant and beautiful event location in this area of Northern San Diego/Oceanside.
